the Bruno/Borat format really works best in America because of the 'American Dream' and their total acceptance of any foreigner to their land settled from without. Cohen's hit on a good formula: take a stereotype, exaggerate it outrageously, show it to those likely to react to it, and film their reactions. If he weren't so clever and funny it wouldn't work but luckily he is both, so it does work. I thin khis time is due to run out soon though - he's become too recognisable.
