Still don't know about going to see movies after having read and enjoyed the book. Just can't be bothered with Revolutionary Road with Kate Winslet for example. the Bruno/Borat format really works best in America because of the 'American Dream' and their total acceptance of any foreigner to their land settled from without. Pretty much any European country would meet Bruno with a certain sense of jaded cynicism towards his pranks but in the redneck areas of the US where people dont routinely have passports more…

Cohen's hit on a good formula: take a stereotype, exaggerate it outrageously, show it to those likely to react to it, and film their reactions. If he weren't so clever and funny it wouldn't work but luckily he is both, so it does work. I thin khis time is due to run out soon though - he's become too recognisable.
