The worst advert for the use of HDV in the film industry, an insider's joke perhaps, or simply adolescent cinema at its most juvenile? All these and... well, not much more really. The plot (man wakes up with artificial heart, goes on rampage to find his own) beggars belief almost as much as the shoddy job done in the editing suite. Yet i was still entertained, thoroughly so. Leave your brain at the door and embrace your inner teenager and this becomes a laugh-a-minute riot of violence, sex and gore. Most will abhor such a terrible piece of filmmaking, but it never tries to rise above itself, never pretends to be something it's not. It's like crack for the dvd generation - a short sharp burst of hyperrealistic annhiliation that barely leaves a mark on the viewer. Instantly forgettable as it is enjoyable.

I'm young enough to enjoy it yet old enough to know better; are you?
